We hear this from people every day and have done for many years. It is for this reason we set our business up all those years ago, to show you that there is another way. The way we wanted to live. A World without Oil and waste.
A greener, cleaner and much more affordable way to live by reducing, recycling and re-using and well as growing food, composting and generating our own energy.
For over 17 yrs we have been helping our clients switch to a different way of life. A greener way of life, for the very same reasons you are a looking today.
As the world become more aware of the immediate changes that are required to avert disasters around the globe, we’ve been helping people make the changes they were looking for, right here at home in the United Kingdom.
Some choose solar for the heating of water, some choose solar for the making of electricity. Many now have batteries systems, electric car charging points as well as water harvesting and many other forms of renewable living technologies.
What all our clients have in common is a burning desire to do their bit in the fight against climate change but didn’t have the full understanding of how these technologies could work for them. So we taught them. We provide the tools for the greatest fight Humanity has every faced.

We teach you how we have lived with Renewable’s for over a decade in a 500 yr old house to a point where the family car and house run free of charge for many months of the year. A private session has been a customer favourite over the years and we estimate that since opening our doors way back in 2008, we have shown over 1,500 total strangers around. Single visitors, hundreds of couples, community groups, business owners and many more. Most people in West Norfolk will live within a mile or so of someone who have visited or had our services on their own home.
But times are changing……..
When we moved to Norfolk, 22 yrs ago, it was three generations under one roof. Grow our own, generate our own and live the good life.
For 17 of those years, we have opened up to the public, our neighbours and hundreds of total strangers for them to experience how simple it is to live without fossil fuels. However, after 17 yrs of sharing our lives with others in an effort to help decarbonise their World, the time has come to close our doors for the public and switch focus on visiting clients for the first meeting. We can still discuss all things environment and there’s so much information online now-a-days, a personal tour of our compost heap isn’t really as eye catching as it once was!
So we are no longer accepting visitors to the workshop for consultations as a matter of course. From November 2024, we will only provide a proposal after a full consultation in your own home, or via zoom.
Visits to The Solar Shed will be by appointment and invite only.
