Beautiful Poison, or ugly nature?

The front page of todays Times tells us that middle aged people are dying early because of their ultra processed food intake. Chemically enhanced, mass produced, as cheap as we can get it, processed food.

It looks stunning when you walk or drive through the countryside, fields of wheat swaying in the breeze, or the hectare upon hectare of beans and seed oil that brighten the landscape. Fields full of chemicals, but it looks nice.

Contrast this to a field full of solar, where more birds live. More birds because there’s more insects to eat. More mammals due to the land not being turned over and sprayed every few months.

And I really shouldn’t have to say this, but no bees means no man. Kill the bees and we kill ourselves.

Multi-use land, for energy generation and food production using agri-voltaics is the key. Less food per acre, but food that doesn’t cost us our health, or our lives.

You / we are addicted to sugar, to fats and to seed oils and that’s because they’re force fed but we’re only told to look at the fat content or calorific value or salt content when checking the labels. It’s almost as if the processed food manufacturers don’t want us to look at the ingredients and they focus on the calories as if that’s the important bit.

Stop looking at the fluff and look at the ingredients in everything you eat. If what you eat contains anything that is made in a lab, stop eating it. Stop poisoning yourselves please.

Today’s times will be a hard read for those of you who use supermarkets and eat food wrapped in plastic but it’s something we all need to look at closer.

We’ve been poisoning ourselves for decades now, and it was my own little health scare just 18 months ago that led me to going UPF Free and latterly organic.

I say organic, we prefer to call it ‘real food’ as opposed to the chemically enhanced crap you’ll find in supermarkets.

Oh, and have a nice day
