This message is for existing customers who have placed orders and yet to have their systems fully installed.
We are still experiencing significant delays to many products entering the Country. The 500% UK increase in demand this year, plus the worldwide demand of products on top of a hostile import regime and zero Covid policies in factories around the World means we’re not installing nearly as quick as we’d like and when we do, nine times out of ten it’s the solar only and we’re having to ask ppl to wait for the batteries to be installed.
Some batteries are on a 4-5 month wait and even those that are headed our way are being delayed. The delivery we were expecting in the last two weeks is still floating around on a ship, I’m told ready to dock in Rotterdam before re-loaded for the UK.
This is causing much frustration with clients which we fully understand but we can not be held responsible for these delays that are totally out of our control.
We are just about to stop new orders as we are full to capacity for the next 4-5 months and the anticipated delays could mean a much longer wait for some.
This is affecting our business and we are equally frustrated at the current situation and whilst we fully understand your desire to be fully operational, we can do no more than thank you for your continued understanding at this, the most trying of times.
Finally, in the last three weeks, we have had two updated price lists from suppliers. A first for us as we have never raised prices in 10 yrs. But twice in three weeks and some kits and systems going up by over £1,000!
All those already quoted prior to today will have those quotes honoured if they were within 28 days of the date on this post.
Thankfully, the quality of products have not changed, other than getting better. The new 4th Generation Solax Hybrid and the EnPhase micro-inverters, even the entry level Solis inverters just get better and better. And now that JA Solar, our favoured panel manufacturer has just become one of three panels manufactures with a AAA rating in the bankability index, it fills us with a great deal of confidence going forward.
